Which part of "they can fire a projectile" didn't you see? ;) :slap:

Meh, I just didn't want illegal activities being discussed on the boards.

It ain't on his post - he's told you that privately, as far as any one knows it just goes bang like reenactors mortars.

I'd leave it unless it becomes big news. If TLSFX are involved I'm sure it's legal .

Heh, just seen this page from an old Airsoft Extreme magazine.

The letter doesn't have a name to it but it looks like Josh used our pics to promote his event - no mention of us of course!

3 Pics of the SS, and two of Allied? That don't look like Josh's work to me. My Money is on Stubblehopper (especially once you look at the language used)

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Ah yes, good detective work there! And thinking about it, Josh's PR skills are really bad but even he wouldn't try to advertise his event to Philipinos! Whereas Stubble want's (wanted :P ) his pictures everywhere!

Interesting that they're Scott's pictures too, he puts a copyright on his images for commercial use IIRC.

Yep, the image of me and the group shot are from CR, the former taken by Scott, the latter taken by Rhys or Webby's camera I think.

So.........how was D-Day +2??

I noticed somewhere that Spiers had posted 'see you on the beaches'. Was he terribly disappointed not to be on the beach??

Spiers was an anoying twat - he was stood about posing like he was a movie star, can't say I actually saw him in-game though!

My overall take on the weekend? I enjoyed it - plenty of varied gaming area. We played from the fort to way beyond last times German camp in the longest direction and into the scrubland before the dunes.

Both days were fluid and un-restrained by Josh (apart from Sat when we mutually agreed a direction of gameplay so as to end on a big asault).

Catering was a good idea, much chatting over food - and later drinkies. Saved me the hassle of cooking but if bar prices had been lower then peeps wouldn't have sloped off early. Despite camps and eating together there was a distinct sticking together of factions!

Axis, though at a huge disadvantage numerically pulled together although we were actually 16 men as we has three freelancers that refused to be directed and just wandered off on their own looking for a fight. Aparently there were several Germans that had paid for a place but didn't turn up. Yes, right, we believe you Joshua!

It grieves me to say it but it was much better than last D-Day - in fact better than F&O's Hurtgen (which I thought was a sloppy affair). Motars were very good. Yanks had invented Teflon years before time  but it didn't spoil things. The few remaining ghey rules went out of the window - I only saw santuary being used once (not counting Guy's piss-take). The score-totting seemed to have been forgotten - I was the only person to report being a POW

Gu did a cracking job - played most of Saturday without sight of players just using the radio and a map. Heh, I noticed his bottle of wine remained undrunk the whole weekend!

Was it worth £85? I wouldn't have paid but I didn't hear any grumbling players at the end of the event so I suppose Josh got away with it!

Much to my surprise, it sounds like Josh pulled off an event that wasn't total shit.

Guy? Wine? Unopened? - WTF is that about?

Hmm, he has changed his tack a bit, going back to what he knows by the look...

Funnily enough in his debrief he not only thanked CiA for running the Axis side but also told everyone to visit the website/forum and encouraged them to attend CiA games. I was torn between thinking heh, that was nice of him and hmm, he's pulling out of WW2 (Cold War and Vietnam being his only announced projects beyond Carentan).

LOL, I expect Guy went ballistic (if he'd noticed the date - I hadn't!)

Hi folks.
I've just spoken to Josh and he's expressed his apologies but the date for this game will be changing. We are in fact planning to be away at the Advance to Contact game on 7/8 June.
As soon as Josh is back in the office a suitable date will be posted.
Cheers,
Nigel

It seems that Spiers has taken a real shine to Gunman's games, he's lining up for the next one. One player I don't care about Josh poaching!

Indeed, problem solved - now we don't need to feel bad about returning his next game deposit!

No more Spiers. About the only bright point in a rather depressingly crap day....
